It’s San Francisco Pride—which means block parties, demonstrations, protests, and performances all week long, culminating in a two-day celebration and parade at Civic Center on June 29 and 30.
SF Pride is the largest annual gathering of the LGBTQ+ community and allies in the US and one of the largest in the world. It brings together over 200 parade contingents, exhibitors, and more than one million attendees to celebrate community, pay testament to resilience and keep the beacon of hope for equality burning.

Threads of Pride
Tuesday, June 24; doors at 6 pm, show starts at 7 pm
Yerba Buena Center for the Arts
Supermodels stomping the runway. Queer icons turning looks for a cause. Designers like John Varvatos fusing fashion with activism. Threads of Pride is a first-of-its-kind fashion event that amplifies LGBTQ+ advocacy through a runway spectacle at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, presented in collaboration with SF Pride and Qatari physician and global LGBTQ+ rights advocate Dr. Nas Mohamed. Fashion designers will shine a spotlight on more than 10 NGOs leading critical fights for justice, pairing their representatives with models and activists on the runway. Gather, support, and enjoy the food, fashion, and fabulousness that proves that Queer Joy is Resistance.
PRIDE NightLife

Dance the night away in your fiercest fit as Oaklash and special guest JAX (RuPaul’s Drag Race) celebrate love, acceptance, and the power of being unapologetically yourself at this special Nightlife at the museum. Experience wearable visual art inspired by Black Queer artist Beau McCall. Craft identity buttons using Shrinky Dink plastic with our friends from the Museum of Craft and Design. Create your own zine with Bay Area Queer Zine Fest.

Trans March 2025

Hosted on the Friday of Pride weekend, SF’s Trans March is the city’s largest transgender Pride event and one of the largest trans events in the world. The inaugural march in 2004 was heralded by an anonymous email calling for activists to demonstrate trans people were a growing and significant segment of the LGBTQ+ community. A few hundred people answered, hosting a gathering in Dolores Park followed by a march to Civic Center, and this organic, grassroots gathering has grown every year since. Follow the Trans March website for details on the march, and don’t miss Bustin’ Out: Official Trans March After Party to benefit Transgender Gender-Variant & Intersex Justice Project (TGIJP), an organization that fights prison abuses and supports formerly incarcerated trans people at El Rio (6 pm until late; 3158 Mission Street; tickets $25).
SF Pride Celebration and Parade

Civic Center
SF’s 55th annual Pride Celebration will illuminate the city’s downtown with a weekend spectacular under this year’s theme, “Queer Joy is Resistance. “Events both days are anchored by a Main Stage featuring Michaela Jáe, Raquel Willis, and a vibrant host of performers, community spaces and stages, an 18+ zone, and an LGBTQ+ street fair featuring over 300 artists and exhibitors.
On Sunday, the Pride Parade begins at 10 am on Market Street at Embarcadero Plaza. More than 250 contingents will make their way along Market Street, proceeding toward the Pride Celebration at Market and 9th to continue the festivities. Don’t miss CANOPY Member Alex Solis performing with CHEER San Francisco®, the world’s first LGBTQ-identified cheerleading team.
It’s free of charge to attend the Celebration; the nonprofit organization requests a donation of $1 to $5 at the entry gates to help cover costs. If you’d like to donate, do so here.
Juanita MORE! Pride
Sunday, 12-6 pm; 620 Jones
Lauded performer and activist Juanita MORE! has blitzed San Francisco with high glamour, drag irreverence, and danceable beats for almost three decades. She holds the title of Absolute Empress 56 of the nonprofit Imperial Council of San Francisco and the Juanita MORE! annual Pride party is the jewel in her crown. As parade goers meander up into the tenderloin and onto 620 Jones’s sundrenched terraces, the vibe turns to cocktails, dancing, and flamboyant high kicks for a cause. Ms. MORE! has helped raise over $1 million for local charities, including GBLT Historical Society & Archives, Our Trans Youth, Q Foundation, Queer Lifespace, and Transgender Law Center. This year’s beneficiary is the LYRIC Center for LGBTQ+ Youth, which offers young people job and housing resources, as well as social support.
