As part of the Springline Grand Opening programming, we’re excited to welcome three world leaders in data-driven healthcare as they lead a discussion into bleeding edge developments that will impact generational well-being.

Omics: Everything, Everywhere, All at Once

Michael Snyder, Ph.D., Chair of Genetics and Director of Genomics and Personalized Medicine at Stanford University

Dr. Snyder will lead us through the field of genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics, or collectively “omics.” He’ll share how data gathered from individuals continuously across various tests can provide valuable insights into their health status, allowing for early detection and targeted interventions.

AI: Data as a Drug

Nosheen Hashemi, Founder and CEO of January AI

Ms. Hashemi, a CANOPY member, will explore how integrating artificial intelligence and healthcare has immense potential to support and augment medical professionals in their work and encourage healthy behavioral change at home. AI-powered algorithms can analyze vast amounts of health data, identify suboptimal behavior and health metrics, and provide personalized treatment and behavioral recommendations.

The Future of Precision Therapeutics

Dr. Mahdavi, Founder and CEO of Protomer Technologies, which was acquired by Eli Lilly in 2021*.

Dr. Mahdavi shares insights into the advancements in pharmaceutical research and development that are paving the way for personalized medicine. He explores the concept of drug therapies tailored to individuals based on their unique genetic makeup, medical history, and specific needs. Dr. Mahdavi also highlights the role of autonomous drugs, including glucose-sensing insulin, which delivers exact dosages based on individuals’ biomarkers. Dr. Mahdavi’s talk unveils the potential of personalized drugs in improving treatment outcomes and revolutionizing the healthcare landscape.

*While Dr. Mahdavi is the VP of Protomer Technologies at Eli Lilly, he will speak on his behalf at this event.

We’d like to invite CANOPY members, Springline tenants and residents, and the broader Bay Area community to join us for this special evening.
